Founding Vendor cohort
The first vendors in each category lock a reduced commission rate at enrollment, held for the program term under written Founding Vendor terms. The cohort closes once the published cap is reached.
We never charge for our own features
Every feature United Vows builds in-house is included. A few optional tools rely on outside services, such as electronic signatures, and for those we pass through only what the third party charges us. Nothing more.
What about payment processing fees?
Stripe processes all payments and charges roughly 2.9% + $0.30 per card transaction, less for ACH bank transfers. That fee is separate from United Vows commission and goes directly to Stripe.

Frequently asked questions
Is United Vows really free for couples?
Yes. Couples pay nothing. Every planning tool, the Vows Assistant, vendor matching, and escrow protection are free. The price a vendor quotes is your total, and commission comes from the vendor's side, not added to your bill.
How does vendor commission work?
Commission is set by your tier and falls as your escrow-protected volume grows: Verified is 9% (up to $2k), Established is 8% ($2k to $25k), and Elite is 7% ($25k and up). Tiers update automatically, so you never apply or upgrade manually.
When do vendors get paid?
Funds are held in escrow until 7 days after the wedding date, which protects couples (service delivered) and vendors (guaranteed payment). Release is automatic if no issue is reported.
Are there any monthly fees for vendors?
No. There is no monthly subscription. Vendors pay commission only on completed bookings. The only other charges are pass-through costs for a few optional third-party tools, billed at our cost.
Does United Vows charge extra for its features?
No. Every feature we build in-house is included for vendors. A few optional tools rely on outside providers, such as electronic signatures; for those we pass through only the third party's cost, never a markup.
What payment methods are accepted?
All major credit and debit cards, plus ACH bank transfers, processed securely through Stripe.
