Flora Chicago is a women-owned florist located at 2835 N. Southport Ave. in Lakeview, Chicago, offering custom arrangements, hand-tied bouquets, and wedding and event florals. Co-owned by Sarah Leitten (BFA in sculpture, 15-plus years with flowers) and Kate Prince (15-plus years in horticulture and landscaping), Flora works in a loose, organic, garden-inspired style using seasonal blooms such as peony, ranunculus, roses, tulips, and daffodils, while avoiding toxic floral foam and sourcing locally when possible. Sarah Leitten and Kate Prince bought the business together in March 2018, after first crossing paths while working at the shop. Flora Chicago delivers to Lakeview, Lincoln Park, Lincoln Square, Andersonville, the City of Chicago, and suburbs including Evanston, Oak Park, and Skokie. Wedding clients highlight the team's transparent budget conversations, willingness to work from inspiration images, flexibility with last-minute additions, and floral backdrops that drew compliments well after the event.
