Standing Room Only Orchestra - Event & Wedding Band

Standing Room Only Orchestra is a Brookfield-based wedding and event band, operating as a Chicago-area ensemble with customizable packages ranging from a 6-piece lounge configuration to a 10-piece big band. SRO covers a wide range of styles including Motown, disco, hip hop, classic rock, jazz, and R&B, and can provide live musicians for ceremony, cocktail hour, and dinner in addition to high-energy reception sets; all packages include emcee services and pre-recorded DJ music for cocktail and dinner hours. The band originated in 1999; Kara Kesselring, who holds a music degree from the University of Iowa, joined shortly after and has performed at over a thousand weddings and corporate events, including a three-year run with the Broadway touring production of Jersey Boys before purchasing the business with her husband, bassist and sound engineer Patrick Williams. Based in the Chicago area, SRO also travels throughout the Midwest and accepts destination wedding and corporate event bookings outside Illinois. Couples consistently report a packed dance floor from the first song to the last, praise Kara as an emcee who executes timelines clearly and accommodates last-minute requests, and note that the band learned new songs and allowed guests to perform alongside them.
