Deering Estate is a Miami waterfront event venue and historic landmark listed on the National Register of Historic Places, owned by the State of Florida and managed by Miami-Dade County Parks, Recreation and Open Spaces Department. The estate spans 444 acres and encompasses 8 natural habitats, 10,000 years of human history, and programming that includes nature preserve tours, guided museum tours, kayak rentals, artist-in-residence exhibitions, and wedding venue rentals. Designated as one of seven Miami-Dade County Heritage Parks, the estate functions as a 21st Century house museum, cultural and ecological field station, and national landmark. Located at 16701 SW 72 Avenue, Miami, FL 33157, in the Palmetto Bay area. Visitors highlight the boardwalk through the mangrove swamp, wildlife including manatees, and sunrise events as standout features of the property, while noting that portions of the estate including the Stone House are currently closed for renovation.
