Dianda's Italian American Pastry is a long-standing bakery located in the Mission District of San Francisco, offering wedding cakes, Italian pastries, cookies, and more. Co-owner Floyd Goldberg has been designing and making wedding cakes for Bay Area brides for over 30 years; the bakery also carries specialty cakes, a selection of approximately 50 traditional Italian cookies, eclairs, cannoli, napoleons, and tres leches cakes in multiple flavors. Founded by Mr. and Mrs. Dianda in 1962 with recipes from their hometown in Lucca, northern Italy, the bakery brings 56 years of baking experience; in 2003, three employees, Floyd, Luis, and Sergio, took over to continue the operation. Dianda's operates two locations: 2883 Mission Street in San Francisco and 117 De Anza Blvd in San Mateo. Reviews are mixed: some customers praise the cannoli, tres leches, and fresh pastries as satisfying and well-crafted, while others have found certain cakes dry or lacking in flavor.
