Bix is a San Francisco supper club located on an alley in the historic Jackson Square neighborhood, offering live jazz nightly and modern American cuisine in a two-story dining room. Known for classic cocktails mixed by white-jacketed bartenders, a deep commitment to local farm sourcing, and live music every evening in a room featuring fluted columns, mahogany paneling, and plush banquettes. Founded by Doug Biederbeck in 1988, who also owns Florio, a Mediterranean Bistro in Pacific Heights, and recently published Bixology: Cocktails, Culture and a Guide to the Good Life. Located in San Francisco's Jackson Square; open seven days a week with the bar opening at 4:30 Monday through Friday.
