Arts Ballroom

Arts Ballroom is a Philadelphia wedding and events venue located at 1324 Locust St. in the Avenue of the Arts District, housed in the former first-floor ballroom and theatre of the Hotel Sylvania. The venue features a 10,000 square foot customizable space including a Grand Ballroom with mahogany doors, hardwood floors, a marble fireplace, and a granite staircase; a mirrored Sylvania Room with crystal chandeliers and a backlit marble bar; and a Mezzanine with two private suites and Juliet balconies. All-inclusive catering packages are customizable, and the venue is pet-friendly. The space was converted into its current form in March 2011, following a project led by Spector Design Company and purchased in May 2008 by Indian Creek Investments, LLC. Located in Center City Philadelphia, with affiliated venues in Cinnaminson, NJ; Claymont, DE; and Old Bridge, NJ. Couples highlight the quality and quantity of food, the all-inclusive package value, staff attentiveness from the Maitre d' and bridal attendant, flexibility with last-minute requests, and standout features like a dessert room with cotton candy, donut walls, and s'mores. Some note coordinator transitions as a communication challenge, though issues were addressed by ownership.
