"This former showroom for mausoleums is a unique arts space for alternative theater, music & film."

PhilaMOCA (The Philadelphia Mausoleum of Contemporary Art) is a Philadelphia multipurpose art space housed in the historic Finney & Son building, a former mausoleum showroom dating to 1865, programming underground, alternative, and DIY culture with a concentration on film and performance. The space hosts 300+ events a year spanning live music, film premieres, art exhibitions, comedy, and fashion showcases, with notable recurring programs including the Cinedelphia Film Festival and Eraserhood Forever, an annual celebration of David Lynch's connection to Philadelphia. PhilaMOCA was established in September 2010 and has received recognition from Philadelphia Magazine (Best of Philly award), the Huffington Post (one of the '21 Ways Philadelphia is the Coolest City in America'), and Time Out (one of the '20 Best Things To Do in Philadelphia'); current manager and programmer Eric Bresler has led the space since March 2012. Located at 531 N. 12th Street in Philadelphia. Visitors describe the space as intimate and distinctly independent in character, noting the friendly staff and a programming mix broad enough to include concerts, film screenings, comedy, and record sales within the same week.
