Solon Z and the Sapphires is a Boston-based wedding band and big band orchestra led by vocalist and entertainer Solon Z, available for weddings, corporate events, fundraisers, holiday parties, and special occasions. The band performs as a 24-piece big band orchestra, covering live jazz standards, classics, and top 40 pop hits, with a focus on Frank Sinatra and Bobby Darin repertoire performed by vocalists and musicians described as perfectionists at channeling the original artists. Solon Z is an international recording artist and vocalist with over 25 years of experience, with a background in theater, comedy and music improv, and voice acting, and a four-octave vocal range; he was hired to sing on a KIA Motors television commercial airing across Europe in 2019. Based in Brighton, Massachusetts, the band serves New England wedding venues, including Cape Cod, Newport, and Boston, and is available for hire in the US, France, Monaco, and Italy. Couples and event planners highlight the band's energy, crowd engagement, vocal talent particularly on Sinatra material, and ability to keep a dance floor packed across all ages and musical genres from Sinatra classics to Disco to The Beatles.
