American Marriage Ministries

American Marriage Ministries (AMM) is a Seattle-based, non-denominational, non-profit church that ordains people online so they can legally officiate weddings for friends, family, and community across the United States. AMM offers free online ordination, officiant training covering ceremony scripts, government registration, and marriage licenses, as well as optional credential packages and a community wedding wall where ministers can share their ceremonies. Founded by Glen Yoshioka in 2009, AMM has ordained over 1,680,698 ministers who have performed over 250,000 weddings in all 50 states and territories. AMM is headquartered in Seattle, WA, and provides ordination and support for ministers officiating weddings across all 50 US states and territories. Ministers report that the ordination process takes as little as two minutes, that the training courses are clear and practical, and that AMM has shown consistent follow-through for its ministers, including traveling to Tennessee around 2015 to conduct in-person ordinations when the state questioned online ordinations.
