The Caverns is a live music venue and cave tour destination in Pelham, Tennessee, built inside a naturally-occurring subterranean amphitheater at the base of the Cumberland Plateau in Grundy County. The venue hosts concerts underground for up to 1,200 standing-room guests and above ground for up to 6,000, and is home to The Caverns Sessions (formerly Bluegrass Underground), a PBS television series featuring roots-rock, jam band, R&B, country, soul, folk, Americana, and bluegrass artists; on-site amenities include the Caverns Tavern, a campground with RV and yurt options, and guided and adventure cave tours. The Caverns was named Theater of the Year by the Academy of Country Music, its first ACM nomination and win; the venue was also described by Rolling Stone as 'Tennessee's version of Colorado's stunning Red Rocks Amphitheatre, but smaller and deep underground,' and by Garden and Gun as 'The South's Coolest New Music Venue.'
