"Reservations recommended at this tiny iconic club featuring up-&-coming & experienced songwriters."
The Bluebird Cafe is a Nashville listening room and live music venue with worldwide recognition as a performance space where songwriters perform their own material. Known for its signature 'In The Round' format, where three or four songwriters sit in the center of the room taking turns sharing songs and the stories behind them; the venue runs two shows a night, seven nights a week, across genres including country, pop, rock, and Contemporary Christian. Founded by Amy Kurland, the 90-seat venue was sold in 2008 to the Nashville Songwriters Association International (NSAI); Garth Brooks performed on the Open Mic and Sunday Songwriter's Shows before being discovered and signed to Capitol Records. Located at 4104 Hillsboro Pike in a small strip mall outside of downtown Nashville, Tennessee. Visitors consistently describe the venue as intimate and hard to get into due to limited capacity, praise the staff and atmosphere, and note a $15 per-person minimum with food options ranging from a chicken pot pie to warm brie.
