Founded by Marilyn Megenity on the Ides of March, 1975, the Mercury Cafe has hosted acts including Radiohead, Foo Fighters, Blink-182, No Doubt, Alanis Morissette, Green Day, and Nathaniel Rateliff, among many others; it was sold in June 2021 to Danny Newman, Christy Kruzick, and Austin Gayer.
