Matthew James Orchestra

Matthew James Orchestra is a Chicago-based wedding band and live event orchestra offering performances ranging from a full 11-plus piece orchestra to custom-curated smaller ensembles. The orchestra covers music across decades from the 1960s to modern pop radio hits, featuring vocalists, horns, strings, and a rhythm section, with every performance shaped around the venue, timeline, and audience. Founded and led by trombonist Matt Attfield, who holds a master's degree in music from Northern Illinois University, has performed more than 500 events, and whose career includes collaborations with Seth MacFarlane, drummer Bernard Purdie, and the Chicago Philharmonic. Based in Chicago, serving weddings, corporate events, and private celebrations throughout Chicago and beyond.
