The Royal Room is a live music venue, restaurant, and lounge located in Columbia City, Seattle, offering live music every night of the week alongside a Southern-influenced menu. Opened in December 2011, the Royal Room was founded by musician and composer Wayne Horvitz in partnership with Tia Matthies and Steve Freeborn, with a non-profit partner, South Hudson Music Project, established in 2016. Located at 5000 Rainier Avenue S in Columbia City, Seattle, less than 15 minutes from downtown Seattle by car and 30 minutes by light rail or bus.
