Illusion Magic Lounge is a Santa Monica live entertainment venue offering theatrical magic shows with comedy, music, and audience participation in a 150-seat theater. The venue hosts a rotating roster of magicians and comedians in its main theater, offers strolling close-up magic in the lounge, and runs private events for groups of 10 to 150. The bar features over 40 by-the-glass wine selections, signature Soju cocktails, and small plates. The theater, originally known as Magicopolis, was built in 1998 by magician Steve Spill and taken over by the Sinnott family; after a year-long renovation following COVID-related closure and damage, Illusion Magic Lounge reopened in December 2022. Both Randy Sinnott Sr. and Randy Sinnott Jr. are Past Presidents of the Magic Castle in Hollywood. Located at 1418 4th Street in Downtown Santa Monica. Guests highlight the audience-inclusive shows, friendly staff, small-theater sightlines where every seat has an unobstructed view of the stage, and the inviting atmosphere; corporate and group event attendees specifically credit Randy for making the experience easy to arrange.
