The Carpenter Performing Arts Center is a 1,054-seat university theater on the campus of California State University, Long Beach, presenting music, dance, comedy, speakers, and family events each season. Koch Theater at Lincoln Center and accommodates large and small productions, concerts, and special events; the center also features a permanent exhibit of awards and memorabilia from the Carpenters pop music duo. Built in 1994 and named after Richard and Karen Carpenter, who both attended CSULB, the center has hosted emerging and established artists from around the world each season. Located at 6200 Atherton St. on the CSULB campus in Long Beach, CA. Visitors highlight clear sightlines from every seat, strong audio, convenient on-site parking, and the lobby display of the Carpenters' gold records, Grammy awards, and Karen Carpenter's drum set.
