Erica Reade Photography

Erica Reade Photography is a Brooklyn-based wedding photographer who blends digital and film photography to produce candid, cinematic coverage rooted in a street photography background. Erica shoots digital alongside 35MM film and Polaroids, working in a documentary style that she describes as candid and cinematic, with black and white film moments and vibrant color digital candids; she also publishes personal beach photography, with her first book Beach Lovers released in June 2022 by Daylight Books. Based in New York since 2006, Erica has over ten years of photography experience, transitioned into wedding photography from the non-profit and social justice sector in 2018, and covers weddings, City Hall elopements, intimate celebrations, and couples sessions. Based in Brooklyn (Flatbush), Erica travels for weddings outside New York City with custom proposals covering travel logistics. Couples consistently highlight Erica's calming, organized presence on the day, her documentary style that produces natural-looking rather than posed photos, her strong communication throughout planning, and her experience with City Hall ceremonies specifically.
