Maria began working for Lancome Cosmetics in 1996, received formal makeup training through Lancome, and has since been hired for print, television, film, fashion, and celebrity makeup jobs before going independent with A Soft Touch by Maria. Based on Long Island, Maria serves NYC and its surrounding boroughs, and has also traveled by air to destinations including South Beach, Miami, Los Angeles, Hollywood, and Beverly Hills.
