Preservation Park

Preservation Park is a Downtown Oakland wedding and event venue comprising 16 restored Victorian-era buildings managed by East Bay Asian Local Development Corporation (EBALDC). The park offers several distinct spaces for weddings and events, including the Band Stand, Nile Hall, Fountain Circle, and Ginn House, set among restored facades, greenery, and Victorian-era park benches and street lamps. Preservation Park has been part of Oakland for 125 years, originating as an upscale Victorian residential neighborhood in the 1870s; EBALDC took over as full-time property managers in January 2026. Located in the heart of Downtown Oakland, approximately 2 blocks from 12th Street/City Center BART. Couples and event planners highlight the well-maintained historic setting, the beautiful outdoor and indoor spaces, and event coordinator Lawrence, who is described as knowledgeable, patient, and consistently available throughout the planning process.
