Camron-Stanford House

Camron-Stanford House is a historic Victorian venue on the shore of Lake Merritt in Oakland, operated by the Camron-Stanford House Preservation Association, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. The property features a garden and porch overlooking Lake Merritt, a museum of Oakland history with antiques and changing exhibits, and a bridal suite; couples have noted that the interior museum offers a unique walkthrough experience for wedding guests. The house has stood on the edge of Lake Merritt for 150 years and is a designated Oakland historic landmark listed on the National Register of Historic Places; it served as Oakland's first museum beginning in 1907.
