Green House Bakery

Green House Bakery is a cottage bakery operating out of a converted green house in Oakland's Maxwell Park neighborhood, specializing in small-batch sweet and savory pastries and cakes. Green House Bakery uses organic flours, organic eggs, high-quality butter, and local produce to make seasonally inspired pastries and cakes, with orders available through scheduled preorder drops and a monthly first-come-first-served bake sale. Founded in fall 2018 as a once-a-month pop-up bake sale, the bakery moved into a newly built bakery-grade kitchen on the ground floor of the house in summer 2021; baker and owner Rachel Caygill graduated from the Culinary Institute of America in 2001.
