The Tech Interactive is a family-friendly science and technology center in downtown San Jose, offering hands-on activities, experimental labs, and design challenge experiences across 130,000 square feet of exhibit space. Interactive exhibits cover climate change, robotics, healthcare innovations, and cybersecurity, complemented by the largest IMAX Dome Theater on the West Coast and an AI-powered immersive exhibit called Dream Garden. Originally opened in 1998 as the Tech Museum of Innovation, The Tech Interactive has welcomed more than 10 million visitors since opening and draws over 250,000 visitors per year. Located in downtown San Jose at the center of Silicon Valley, with STEM programs and professional development reaching schools throughout the Bay Area. Visitors highlight the interactive robotics and VR exhibits, the Body Worlds display, a Mars and NASA rover showcase, and generally friendly staff, though a few note that some exhibits feel dated.
