BusyButternut is a boutique licensed and insured catering and events company based in Naperville, IL, led by Chef and Owner Cynthia Hyett. BusyButternut focuses on appetizer-only cocktail parties, charcuterie boards, themed parties, and interactive cooking classes, with a menu built around intricate, bite-sized appetizers. Cynthia started catering under the name Entertaining Forkless in 2005, founded BusyButternut in 2012, and holds credentials from Le Cordon Bleu in Las Vegas where she graduated summa cum laude with a 4.0 GPA and received the Top Toque award for outstanding achievement. Based at 1701 Quincy Avenue in Naperville, IL, BusyButternut serves the western suburbs of Chicagoland and opened a 5,000 sq ft commercial kitchen and event space in north Naperville in 2026.
