Mision Lago Estate

Mision Lago Estate is a 20-acre, lakefront wedding venue in Thonotosassa, Florida, with an Italian rustic architectural style set on Lake Thonotosassa. The estate features five distinct event spaces including an air-conditioned barn, a 60x60 courtyard with a koi pond, a vineyard growing six grape varieties, and a lakefront area with palm trees and live oaks; the venue hosts only one event per day and does not require couples to use an in-house catering company. The property was developed by founders June and Tom, who converted a horse barn into a wedding venue after their son Rhett married on the property; June and Tom have been married 47 years. Located 20 minutes from Downtown Tampa and approximately one hour from Clearwater, St. Petersburg, and Orlando. Couples consistently highlight the European and Italian ambiance, the professionalism of coordinators Karin and Michelle, the grand gate entrance for the bride, the large bridal suite, valet parking, and bartenders who created custom drinks on request; one wedding accommodated 192 guests with a live band.
