The Long Room

The Long Room is a Charlotte wedding venue and event space located on Central Avenue in the Plaza Midwood neighborhood, founded by two professional artists and available for weddings, performances, parties, and creative gatherings. The 2,800-square-foot space features a historic 1953 building with exposed brick and concrete walls, a sprung hardwood dance floor, professional-grade theatrical lighting and sound systems, a wrap-around balcony with wrought iron railing, a full bar, and an outdoor courtyard. Rotating original artwork by local artists is displayed on the walls. The Long Room opened in fall 2023, founded by Matthew Seneca, a tango dancer and former actor and high school English teacher, and Sarah Hayes Harkins, a former principal dancer with Charlotte Ballet. Located on Central Avenue on the border of the Belmont and Plaza Midwood neighborhoods in Charlotte, with many nearby and walkable restaurants.
