Deans' Duets

Deans' Duets is a Hickory-area wedding music ensemble, led by sisters April and Megan, offering classically trained musicians for weddings and events across the southeastern United States. The group covers a wide range of instrument configurations, from violin and cello duos to string quartets and small orchestras, with repertoire spanning classical, pop, rock, jazz, and bluegrass, including the ability to learn custom or commissioned pieces. April and Megan began playing weddings at ages 11 and 9 respectively, formed Deans' Duets when April was 16, and have grown the ensemble organically over the years by adding guitar, piano, harp, cello, and electric options alongside jazz and bluegrass teams. Based across Charlotte, Raleigh, Asheville, Boone, and Charleston, with most events in North and South Carolina; the team travels frequently and has performed in many additional states. Couples highlight the breadth of the song selection, the team's willingness to source or learn specific sheet music, smooth communication throughout planning, and gracious handling of on-the-day schedule changes.
