Uncommon Catering & Eatery is an Orlando-based boutique catering company, led by Travis Smith and Tara Vernau-Smith, offering customized menus for weddings and private events. Known for globally inspired, fully customizable menus, matching decor and design at events (including working with their own florist), and a group bridal tasting where couples sample 30 to 40 dishes. Travis Smith and Tara Vernau-Smith each bring more than 28 years of experience, 16 of which spent working together; they established Uncommon Catering in 2015. Based in Orlando at 2942 Curry Ford Rd, originating out of the Incubator Kitchen at East End Market in Audubon Park. Couples consistently highlight the attentive and proactive staff, accommodation of dietary restrictions including halal and food allergies, thoughtful decor that matches event themes, and food quality that drew compliments from nearly every guest.
