Cooks of Hope LLC

Cooks of Hope LLC is a Minneapolis-based caterer offering Southern comfort food and Carolina low country cooking across the Twin Cities. Chef James draws on Gullah Geechee and Low-Country cuisine from his South Carolina upbringing, with a menu that includes turkey wings, sea island salmon, mac and cheese, greens, dressing, and BBQ; all turkey products are sourced from a local family farm, raised without antibiotics and free range. Chef James started in food service at sixteen as a dishwasher at a Hilton Head Island resort, later studied Culinary Arts at Spartanburg Community College, and has worked at Nicollet Island Inn, Thrivent Financial, Land O'Lakes, and the Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis, serving as Executive Chef for Workforce Hospitality before founding Cooks of Hope.
