Lens On Records LLC

Lens On Records LLC is a Minneapolis-based DJ and event entertainment company serving weddings, corporate events, school dances, and community celebrations. The company offers ceremony audio, MC services, photo booths, up-lighting, day-of coordination, karaoke, and silent disco, with playlists built around each client rather than a recycled set list. It was founded by Mishereen 'DJ Malicious' Ellis, who has over 20 years behind the decks and is known for reading the room and blending genres across Top 40, hip-hop, R&B, Afrobeats, Latin, and more. Founded by DJ Malicious, the company has worked with corporate partners including Foot Locker, Coca-Cola, Adidas, the Marine Corps, and Great Wolf Lodge, and has provided entertainment for schools including Rockford High, Gustavus University, and the University of Colorado Boulder. Based in Minneapolis, serving St. Paul and the greater Twin Cities metro including Edina, Bloomington, Maple Grove, and Eagan, with no travel fee within the metro. Wedding clients highlight consistently packed dance floors, the DJ's ability to keep energy high through speeches and late into the night, attentive communication during difficult circumstances such as severe weather, and patience with culturally specific event formats including a traditional Somali wedding.
